Sydnee Carroll has been dancing since the young age of 3 years old and decided to begin the Elevé Dance ATL program in June of 2023 to provide a safe space for minorities to receive classical and conservatory style dance training in the Atlanta Metropolitan area. Sydnee trained professionally at Howard University under the Theatre Arts-Dance program. During her time at Howard University she taught youth dance classes at Princess Mhoon Dance Institute, Joy of Motion Dance Centre, and Center City Public Charter Schools in Washington D.C. Ms. Carroll has also trained and performed professionally under a variety of programs including four consecutive summers of Dance Theatre of Harlem’s Intensives, Complexions Contemporary Ballet Winter and Summer Workshops and Intensives, Alvin Ailey Summer Intensives, and the Houston Contemporary Dance Company’s Summer Intensive.
From 2017-2019 Sydnee spent her summers leading a summer dance camp for children ages 4-6 through DC Parks & Recreation and through this experience she found her passion and purpose in the dance world. She loves working with children and has a very kind and nurturing approach to teaching.
